Apples and Leeks

Country music group Little Big Town's Kimberly Schlapman shares her recipe for a sauté of Gala apples and leeks with chopped parsley.

Cook time: 10-12 minutes | Yield: 4 servings


  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 leeks, cleaned and sliced into rounds
  • 3 Gala apples, peeled, cored and chopped into 1 inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, roughly chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste


In a sauté pan, heat olive oil. Add leeks and cook for 5-7 minutes. Add the apples and cook for another 5 minutes until apples get soft. Add the parsley and season with salt and pepper.
