Blue Cheese Wedge Salad

Country music group Little Big Town's Kimberly Schlapman shares her recipe for a lettuce wedge with a creamy blue cheese and sour cream dressing.

Yield: 4 servings


  • ½ cup blue cheese
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper taste
  • 8 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled (optional)
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, cut into 8 wedges


In a blender, mix the blue cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, heavy cream, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Assemble the lettuce wedges in a shallow platter and layer the bacon, tomatoes and onions. Pour dressing over salad and serve.
