Roasted Figs With Goat Cheese and Vanilla Honey

Country music group Little Big Town's Kimberly Schlapman shares her dessert recipe for cheese-stuffed figs topped with a honey mixture and pecans.

Cook time: 12 minutes | Yield: 12 servings


  • 12 fresh figs
  • 2 ounces goat cheese
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped
  • 1/4 cup pecans, finely chopped


Quarter 12 figs, cutting three-quarters of the way down. Stuff the figs with goat cheese. Roast in an oiled pan at 425° for 12 minutes, until softened. Meanwhile, warm the honey and add the vanilla bean and seeds. Remove figs from oven and drizzle with warm honey. Garnish with chopped pecans.
