Sweet and Tangy Coleslaw

Country music group Little Big Town's Kimberly Schlapman shares her recipe for a slaw that includes apple and a habañero jelly kick.

  • 2 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/5 cups red cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 large carrot, shredded
  • 1 golden delicious apple, peeled and julienned
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup apple habañero jelly
  • Salt
  • Pepper


In a bowl, add the cabbage, carrots, apples, mayo, vinegar and jelly. Mix well to incorporate. Season with salt and pepper. Place in fridge until ready to eat. Let rest for 20 minutes to release juices and soften.
