If you're an off-campus student or staffer at Emory University in Atlanta, you want to find a place to live that has easy access to campus. And you're in luck; the university is surrounded by neighborhoods with apartments, condominiums and homes.

Within a three-mile radius of the university campus, there are more than 50 apartment complexes. In general, rent starts at about $600 per month for some one-bedroom units, and goes up from there.

Less than a mile from campus, you'll find Gables Rock Springs on Rock Springs Court. This development offers one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments ranging from about $1,100 to $2,200 per month. Amenities include a swimming pool, covered parking and fitness center.

The M Apartments, on East Rock Springs Road in the Virginia Highland neighborhood, is just a little over a mile from campus. This community offers one-, two-, and three-bedroom units ranging from $2,000 to $2,600 per month. Amenities here include a swimming pool, fitness center, clubhouse, covered parking and gated access.

Gables Montclair in Decatur is also about a mile from campus, and has one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments available from about $1,300 to about $2,700 per month. Amenities include a swimming pool, fitness center and laundry facility.

Clairmont Reserve on Clairmont Road in Decatur has one- and two-bedroom units renting from $910 to $1,260 per month. Amenities include a swimming pool, fitness center, garage, clubhouse and extra storage.

Lofts are a trendy housing option, and the Atlanta metro has many to choose from. Bass Lofts apartments on Euclid Avenue in Inman Park is a little more than two miles from the Emory Campus. The units, built in a converted school building, are available in studio, one- and two-bedroom units for about $1,000 to $2,100 per month.

Ford Factory Lofts in Virginia Highland is another apartment community converted from a historic building, and has one- and two-bedroom units available, with rent ranging from $860 to $1,450 per month. Amenities include controlled access, covered parking and concierge service.

A little farther northwest of campus, The Reserve at Lavista Walk has luxury apartments available in one- and two-bedroom floor plans from $1,150 to about $2,100 per month. Amenities include a swimming pool, gated access, clubhouse and fitness center.

The Marquis of North Druid Hills is located on Sheridan Road Northeast and has one- and two-bedroom apartments for $944 to $1,415 per month. Amenities include gated access, a swimming pool and fitness center.
