Stowe Mountain Ski Resort

The HGTV Dream Home 2011 was located in the heart of Stowe's resort neighborhood: Spruce Peak at the Stowe Mountain Resort. At the foot of Spruce Peak and Mount Mansfield, the area is designed to be a four-season base camp for recreational activities, with ski lifts, restaurants, a golf course, a skating rink, tennis courts, a community pool and a performing arts center.

Ski Infantry Tribute

Stowe residents Chuck and Jann Perkins own this 13-foot, 2,200-pound bronze statue of a soldier in the famed U.S. Army 10th Mountain Division ski infantry, which stands in the Spruce Peak Plaza. They are loaning it to the resort for 10 years. The statue commemorates the infantry's role in winning World War II and its veterans who returned home and helped start the U.S. ski industry by building ski lifts and teaching ski lessons.

The Over Easy gondola is a ten-person, standing inter-mountain transfer lift capable of moving 3,400 people per hour between Spruce Peak and Mount Mansfield.
