One of the great things about restaurants in Inman Park is that so many of them are within walking distance of where the neighborhood's residents live. Whether you're looking for a casual supper of Mexican or Italian food, a quick, fresh lunch or an elegant dinner out, you find something to please you.

Rathbun's, at 112 Krog St., gets top reviews for a dressy "date-night" dinner. This restaurant is part of Silver Spoon Award-winning chef Kevin Rathbun's group of restaurants throughout the Atlanta area. Prices start at $6 for appetizers and go up to $45 for a 20-ounce rib eye steak.

For gourmet Italian food, check out Sotto Sotto on North Highland Avenue. This restaurant is known not only for its food, but also for its pasta dishes and cocktails. Menu items range in price from $3 for an olive oil tasting to $38 for an entree of oak roasted veal chop.

For breakfast or lunch, check out Julianna's Coffee and Crepes on Lake Avenue. Sourcing produce from local farmers and using an old Hungarian crepe recipe, this eatery offers both sweet and savory crepes, ranging in price from $3 to $7.

The One Eared Stag, a pub on Edgewood Avenue, has a hipster vibe and is well-known for its brunch (it also serves lunch and dinner). The brunch menu includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, prime beef tenderloin, grits and salads. Prices range from $3 for sides to $22 for the brunch, and the restaurant has a full bar.

If you want simple food with the atmosphere of a corner pub, check out The Albert on Austin Avenue. The Albert features a full bar (check out their specialty drinks menu) and seasonal beers on tap. Menu items include such appetizers as wings, corn fritters, and pimento cheese and sausage starting at $5. Burgers, sandwiches and wraps range from $7 to $16. Weekend brunch offers eggs Benedict, veggie quiches, granola pancakes and other breakfast items, ranging in price from $8 to $12.

For Mexican fare, try Pure Taqueria on North Highland. Choose from a menu Mexican classics, with prices ranging from $8 to $17.

Lunch options in Inman Park abound. Kale Me Crazy on North Highland Avenue focuses on health-conscious fare, including smoothies (using cold-pressed juices), oraganic salads, acai bowls and super-food shots. Prices range from $4 to $12.

Each September, Inman Park Restaurant Week gives more than a dozen local eateries a chance to show off their best food. During the event, participating restaurants offer a three-course, prix fixe menu for a special price, generally $15 to $35, giving diners a chance to sample a variety of dishes.
