Downtown Truckee Shopping

Shop till you drop at a variety of boutiques and shops in Downtown Truckee. From one-of-a-kind clothing stores to decorative and tourist shops, spend an entire day browsing and never get bored.

Stillwater Spa at the Hyatt

Get pampered with a massage on the lake, or in one of the relaxation rooms at the Stillwater Spa at the Hyatt in Incline Village. Opt for a rock stone, therapeutic or sports massage, then melt away in the eucalyptus steam room. Enjoy the rest of the day poolside or in a private cabana on the lake.

The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe Spa

Retreat atop a mountain to The Ritz-Carlton Spa at Northstar, Calif. Send the kids to the slopes for a day at this ski-in/ski-out location, and treat yourself to a day in paradise. After a massage of choice, splurge on a facial, and top it off with a green tea and peppermint manicure and pedicure.

Squaw Valley High Camp

Located at 8,200 feet, the Squaw Valley High Camp Pools are unlike anywhere else. Grab a drink from the bar and relax in the sun, or take a dip in the pool and hot tub overlooking the mountains and lake.

Bike Cruiser Ride

Take the mellow and beautiful bike path that runs through Tahoe City next to the lake, all the way to Squaw Valley along the river. Rentals are available all around town.

Disc Golf

An alternative to traditional golf, disc golf is popular all around Tahoe, with locations in Truckee and South Lake. Gather a few friends and test your disc skills by trying to make it in the basket.

Wine Tasting

Truckee River Winery is the highest and coldest winery, preparing some of the most-unique and flavorful vintages in the region. Sample an array of flavors all made locally and then pair one with a homemade panini. Once you pick a favorite, grab a bottle and play bocce ball or horseshoes outside.

Sailing

Sail around the lake on a chartered boat out of Tahoe City. The sunset cruise is breathtaking with snacks and alcoholic beverages provided. Book in advance for best availability and enjoy some time on the water.

Gambling

Try and win some loot at a number of Lake Tahoe's casinos in North (Cal-Neva, Biltmore) and South Lake (Mont Bleu, Harrah's). From high-stakes blackjack and roulette to slot machines, here's to getting lucky.

Yoga

Be one with nature and take it all in with a yoga class on the lake. Tahoe Rising in South Lake is a donation-based yoga group that provides classes daily in the summer at Camp Richardson. Get Zen and get inspired.
