If you're looking for a place to dine in Vinings, Ga., you'll find no shortage of restaurants and cuisines to choose from. Whether you're searching for a quick bite for lunch, brunch to begin a day of shopping, or a relaxing dinner to wind down your day, you'll find a perfect spot here.

In Vinings, you'll find more independent, unique restaurants here than you will chains, although Vinings does have such familiar venues as Mellow Mushroom and Another Broken Egg cafe, both located in Vinings Jubilee, the neighborhood's shopping village. And there are plenty of places for a casual meal of burgers, stir-fry or Mexican food.

SOHO, also located in Jubilee, is a popular choice for lunch or a date night. The menu's focus is on healthy, seasonal dishes, including Scottish salmon, elk tenderloin, herb-roasted chicken and gluten-free choices. SOHO is open for lunch and dinner.

For dishes with true Southern flair, check out Old Vinings Inn, located in a sprawling bungalow on Paces Mill Road near Paces Ferry Road. Offerings include Southern staples such as chicken and dumpling soup, fried green tomatoes, buttermilk fried chicken, and pecan mountain trout. For weekend brunch, choose from a number of salads and entrees, including banana and hazelnut chocolate French toast, eggs Benedict or a steak burger. Old Vinings Inn also offers a full bar, children's menu and live music on the weekends.

For a special meal out, consider Canoe, tucked along the bank of the Chattahoochee River. This restaurant offers a beautiful setting for enjoying lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch. Canoe is open for lunch Monday through Friday, dinner nightly and brunch on Sundays. For lunch, choose gourmet sandwiches and entrees, including jumbo lump crab cakes and chimichurri chicken tacos. The dinner menu includes such dishes as grilled breast of Long Island duckling, hickory grilled New York Strip and Enchanted Springs rainbow trout. Sunday brunch offers a selection of soups, pastries and cooked breakfast entrees. The restaurant also has an extensive wine list.

More health-conscious dishes can be found at Cafe at Pharr, a family-owned eatery in Jubilee offering soups, salads, sandwiches and light entrees for brunch, lunch or an early dinner.  South City Kitchen Vinings, on Cumberland Parkway, offers upscale Southern fare. For a true steakhouse atmosphere with a friendly neighborhood twist, check out Garrison's Broiler and Tap in the Jubilee shopping village. Noche Tequila and Tapas Bar offers light Mexican and Spanish favorites, as well as a full bar.
