Atlanta Blueberry Farms

Many of Atlanta's blueberry farms open their gates to the public and are great summer family destinations.

While a lot of Atlantans have herb gardens growing on a patio or perhaps a tomato plant or two, there aren't any full-on working farms in the city. Besides walking the aisles of Whole Foods, if you have a hankering for some produce from the source, you need not go very far. Some of the farms make for great family outings and have "you-pick" days, while others have corn mazes and festivals during the fall.

Picking fresh blueberries is a favorite pastime for many Georgians. The farms usually charge by the bushel or the gallon, and some of the farmers appreciate a call before popping over. Also, take something to haul your load. There are a few vegetable farms as well. Here are a few farms near Atlanta we rounded up for you.
