Atlanta Lofts for Rent
Owned by chef Asha Gomez, The Third Space is a top-of-the-line kitchen in Atlanta where foodies and wannabes can learn from some of the city's top culinary experts. The open-concept, loft-style space is available for classes and private events.
Ah, lofts—those elegant, urban spaces that feature exposed brick walls and ductwork and put you in the center of all the action. Atlanta has a good dose of them, and we're happy to take you on a short, guided tour of some of the best.
If you're seriously looking to buy or rent a loft, let's start you off with a couple of real estate agents who focus on them. The first is Lofts in Atlanta. The site allows you to search lofts in the Downtown-Castleberry area, the Buckhead-Midtown area and outlying areas, like Grant Park and the Old Fourth Ward, as well. We like this site because it shows a picture of the loft and gives a short description of the building and, if interesting, its history.
The next company is The Loft Stop. They also have a neighborhood listing, which breaks down alphabetically, from Brookhaven to Sandy Springs. The site also features a blog, though it's not updated regularly, that gives you a little bit of insider information on the loft community. We like the easy searchability of the site and the listings.
And here's a list of a handful of our favorite lofts and why we love them.
The Stacks at Fulton Cotton Mill—Located near Freedom Park, the Edgewood Retail District and Inman Park's art galleries, this renovated cotton mill puts you in the middle of some of Atlanta's prime social activities.
Castleberry Point Lofts—This mixed-use development in the up-and-coming Castleberry Hill area puts you right in the middle of this neighborhood's funky shops and noted restaurants. It's within walking distance of downtown and less than a mile from the CNN Center and Philips Arena.
Ponce Springs Lofts—The Poncey-Highland neighborhood, located just south of Virginia-Highland, is jam-packed with condos and cool, warehouse-style lofts. One of our faves is Ponce Springs for its LEED Silver certification and expansive views of the Atlanta skyline.
Buckhead Village Lofts—One of the only loft buildings located in Buckhead (the other is Mathieson Exchange), this building not only puts you within walking distance of great amenities like shops and restaurants, it also has that gorgeous, exposed brick we love—not to mention a swimming pool.
