People searching for a home in Glenwood Park have a range of choices, from one-bedroom condos to large single-family homes with several bedrooms.

Glenwood Park, tucked between Grant Park and East Atlanta Village, is a New Urbanism, mixed-use neighborhood offering a pedestrian-friendly setting with parks, a swimming pool and a commercial center just steps from the BeltLine multi-use trail. Retail and office space, parks and a swimming pool are part of the mix here.

If you are looking for a place to rent within Glenwood Park, you may have to look outside the boundaries of the development itself. There are apartments available that, while not a part of Glenwood Park itself, offer easy access to its commercial area. Glenwood East is the top community that falls into this category. Designed with luxury features, Glenwood East offers studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, with rent ranging from about $975 to $1,400 per month, and amenities include a fitness center with yoga room, swimming pool, controlled access to buildings and a skyline lounge with views of downtown Atlanta.

Glenwood Green is another nearby community offering eco-friendly affordable rates. To qualify, residents must meet income requirements for the Low Income Housing Tax Credit. Floor plans include one-, two- and three-bedroom units and rent is based on income.

You may have better luck finding a townhome or condominium. For the ultimate in convenience, one-bedroom condos are available located on floors above shops in the neighborhood's commercial district. Prices range between $170,000 and $180,000. Features of these units include large entryways, 10-foot ceilings, large windows, bamboo floors, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, walk-in closets and double vanities in the bathroom.

The Townhouses at Glenwood Park has been built in phases and range in size from about 1,700 square feet to 2,700 square feet. Amenities include rear decks (some units have rooftop terraces), hardwood floors, gourmet kitchen appliances, granite countertops and fireplaces. Some of the units have stunning views of the Atlanta skyline. Prices range from about $430,000 to $680,000.

Glenwood Park has a large number of single-family homes available, as well as lots available for new construction. Architectural styles range from classic Craftsman to Colonial to stone cottages. True to the neighborhood's design philosophy, yards are small and front porches are large, adding to the community feel for which Glenwood Park has become famous. First-phase homes range in price from around $400,000 to about $800,000.

A new phase of development in the community, called Hedgewood, is offering homes in the $350,000 range. Amenities in these three-bedroom homes include 10-foot ceilings, custom trim, stone countertops and private gardens.
