The HGTV Dream Home 2011 was located in the heart of Stowe's resort neighborhood: Spruce Peak at the Stowe Mountain Resort. At the foot of Spruce Peak and Mount Mansfield, the area is designed to be a four-season base camp for recreational activities, with ski lifts, restaurants, a golf course, a skating rink, tennis courts, a community pool and a performing arts center.

Stowe Mountain Lodge Hotel

The six-story, 312-room Stowe Mountain Lodge is the centerpiece of the Spruce Peak base camp. The exterior features woven timber and shingles, stone veneer created from local quarries and expansive glass-0= to bring the outdoor surroundings indoors. The lodge offers guest suites as well as fractional or whole ownership condominiums. Resort amenities include a 21,000-square-foot spa and fitness center, outdoor pool and Bob Cupp signature golf course.

Ski Infantry Tribute

Stowe residents Chuck and Jann Perkins own this 13-foot, 2,200-pound bronze statue of a soldier in the famed U.S. Army 10th Mountain Division ski infantry, which stands in the Spruce Peak Plaza. They are loaning it to the resort for 10 years. The statue commemorates the infantry's role in winning World War II and its veterans who returned home and helped start the U.S. ski industry by building ski lifts and teaching ski lessons.

Stowe Mountain Ski LIft

The Over Easy gondola is a ten-person, standing inter-mountain transfer lift capable of moving 3,400 people per hour between Spruce Peak and Mount Mansfield.

Stowe Mountain Resort is the East's premier skiing and snowboarding resort, with 116 trails providing 39 miles of skiing and snowboarding terrain.

Resort Expansion

Stowe Mountain Resort underwent a 15-year, $400 million expansion at Spruce Peak, which included a luxury hotel and spa, high-end homes, restaurants, a new base lodge, new trails and fully-automated snowmaking.

Bob Cupp Golf Course

Resort guests have access to a breathtaking 18-hole, par 72 Vermont mountain golf course created by legendary designer Bob Cupp. The 6,400-yard course winds around Peregrine Lake and mountain streams, with New England hardwood, pine and birch trees lining many of the fairways

The 400-foot elevation gain throughout the golf course allows for sweeping views of the surrounding ski slopes and Little River Valley below.
